Bernadette Morrissey is an aspiring grant writer. Growing up in the mountains outside of Boulder cultivated a deep appreciation of sublime scenery. The beautiful backdrops popping up around Lafayette attracted her to the mission of Alley Art Amazin.
Volunteering and art have been constants in her life. She has volunteered at many local non-profits including: Community Food Share, The CU History museum, Compass House, and Our Center. She is constantly tinkering with projects such as quilting, painting, making birdhouses out of recycled, materials, and a number of miscellaneous other projects.
She left the corporate world six years ago to pursue owning her own business. Being self-employed allows her to have a more flexible schedule and better work-life balance. Her favorite thing about running her own business is that it affords her the time to work and play with her 2 year old every day!
