My Neighbor Totoro Visits Waneka Lake

The Lafayette residents & requesters of the mural, The Simons,  wanted an image that was a family-literary concept; well loved but not so mainstream as Disney. We decided that Hayao Miyazaki art/Studio Ghibli was the perfect fit. Totoro won the character selection process & the concept reminded them of the Waneka Lake preserve area. Thus the mural’s birth.
